TMBB 40 Series

The TMBB-40 provides you with a cost-effective and versatile solution for data acquisition, telemetry and remote platform control.

Features:

  • Multiple input accommodation
  • Flexible telemetry options
  • Flexible sampling
  • Large on-board memory
  • Website based data access and communication
  • Full platform monitoring and warning system
  • Dual redundancy system

With increased input accommodation and satellite telemetry as standard, the TMBB-40 has been designed for data buoy platforms in remote and offshore locations and will withstand the most hostile of marine environments.  It is a dual redundant system, allowing two data collection units to operate in parallel, and in circumstances of system failure, the second system will continue acquiring and transmitting data from sensors to the base station.

The TMBB-40 supports a wide range of sensors and instrumentation including wave sensors,  current sensors, meteorological stations, water quality sensors and water sampling carousels.  It can be connected to an external AIS offering the possibility of broadcasting VDL messages.

As a platform controller, the TMBB-40 can be programmed to monitor critical health components within the data platform such as voltage, temperature, humidity, enclosure access etc. and generate an alarm when user-defined threshold limits are breached.

Data can be transmitted in real-time to a base-station hosted either on the users network or on the TechWorks Marine Data Centre web-portal. Users are able to view, analyse and download data from this site, and communicate with the TMBB PC-40 to change sampling intervals, telemetry options or conduct diagnostics.
