TechWorks has been supplying the academic and research organisations with products and services since the company began in 2002. The TechWorks Marine Black Box (TMBB) data acquisition and transmission system has been used extensively in this sector providing our clients with real-time monitoring solutions for a diverse range of applications.

As equipment representatives for several world-renowned companies we can supply a wide range of sensors to accommodate a variety of monitoring and research needs.

We can offer a wide range of services to the academic and research sectors including:

  • Sale or rental of metocean monitoring equipment (TMBB, represented partner sensors)
  • Real-time system integrations (real-time data acquisition and transmission to web portal)
  • Metocean Data Acquisition (metocean and environmental, water and sediment sampling)
  • Bathymetric Survey (site investigations) ROV Inspection (underwater surveillance)

TechWorks Marine has been involved in supplying instrumentation and sensors to many large National Infrastructure projects including:

  • Belmullet Wave Testing Site

Other recent projects:

  1. Supply of oceanographic sensors to the Irish National Research Vessel “Celtic Explorer”
  2. Supply of oceanographic sensors to NUI Galway, for study of Harmful Algal Blooms in Killary, Galway.
  3. Fair Isle Scotland: Provision of intergrated system for the collection of weather data, Sea temperature data, water level data, and high grade conductivity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, fluorescence, and turbidity.
