Company history
TechWorks Marine Limited was founded in 2001, in response to a demand for integrated environmental monitoring platforms for the marine industry. The founders of TechWorks Marine Charlotte O'Kelly and Philip Trickett brought their expertise in the design and development of data acquisition systems, integrated operational platforms and project management and worldwide contacts in marine technology. In 2003 Techworks Marine brought on Trevor Sullivan as Chairman of the board of directors, Trevor has experienced most of the disciplines of a multi-national, including manufacturing, international distribution, engineering, maintenance, planning, sales, product marketing and strategic marketing.
TechWorks Marine has been working closely with several world-class sensor manufacturers since it was founded; these links have given TechWorks Marine an in-depth knowledge of both the marine technology/sensor industry and more importantly of sensor technology and development. At present TechWorks Marine represent four world-renowned sensor companies in Ireland and also a world-renowned cable manufacturer.
The TechWorks Marine core team has significant experience in the field of marine technology both from the engineering and end user perspective. We believe that this insight gives us the competitive edge. TechWorks Marine are currently the only Irish Partner involved in the EU funded GMES project MERSEA, contract for the project are currently being finalised.
